In order to defray the costs of providing relevant, reliable data of the highest caliber, we require each institution to contribute a fee to participate in the Healthy Minds Study(Mental Health or Alcohol & Other Drugs).
Note: Because the 2012 data collection will be the pilot study for the Alcohol & Other Drugs module, we are limiting it to the first 20 schools that enroll in the AOD single topic administration and/or the dual topic administration.
The participation fee is as follows:
- $2,500......Single topic of the HMS (Mental Health OR Alcohol & Other Drugs)
- $3,750......Dual topic administration (Mental Health AND Alcohol & Other Drugs)
This charge includes:
- Sampling 4,000 students
- Your school’s raw data
- A customized report of the survey results
- National HMS findings to contextualize your results
The fees for this study are comparable to or lower than those for most other national studies of university students.

Create up to 10 school-specific questions for $250. Each additional block of 5 questions is $250.

Discounts
Since our enrollment fee is low relative to the level of service we provide, the HMS team has a limited ability to offer discounts. We have created several discounts that pass along savings from efficiencies in enrollment—such as by enrolling schools early in the registration period or for multiple data collections.
If your school participated in HMS 2011, you will receive a $500 discount if enrolling in the dual topic administration.
If your school is a member of ACPA, you will receive a $500 discount if enrolling in the dual topic administration.
Only one discount may be applied towards a single data-collection.
Refund Policy
HMS offers full and partial refunds to schools that must withdraw from the study. The amount of the refund depends on the cancellation date.
