HMS may be upgraded with a variety of additional services to increase response rate, collect additional data, and expand the scope of the study. These enhancements include:
Custom Questions
You may create up to 10 additional questions to supplement the standard HMS questionnaire. Since you write the questions, they match your institution’s assessment needs. These custom questions may provide additional context for:
- Participant experience with specific programs or courses
- Feedback on current campus issues
- Additional demographic variables of respondents, such as out-of-state students or science majors
- Additional outcomes of interest, such as post-graduation plans
Ten custom questions may be purchased for the additional fee of $250. Additional questions are $250 per block of 5 questions.
Postal Mail Invitations
You may supplement the e-mail invitations with a postal mail letter printed on HMS letterhead. This multi-mode contact protocols is a best practice for reaching college students. They increase response rate and increase perceived legitimacy of the study.
Mailed letters may be sent to all or part of your sample. They cost of $1.50 per respondent, for a minimum of 500 respondents.
Individual Incentives
In addition to the sweepstakes drawing, you may include a $1 honorarium in each letter. These individual incentives have been shown to increase response rate. Individual incentives cost $1.10 per respondent, for a minimum of 500 respondents. They require the minimum purchase of postal mail invitations.
Additional Sample
You may expand your sample to interview more than 4,000 students. Additional sample may be purchased for $100 per 100 respondents. Since there is no upper limit on sample size, you may survey your entire institution.
